Our Mission
We bring the community together to support the Bridger-Teton National Forest where it is most needed, ensuring it remains a land of many uses for us all.

We envision a thriving Bridger-Teton National Forest that continues to be the cornerstone of our community's way of life and local economy. Through collaborative stewardship, we aim to ensure the BTNF flourishes as a harmonious, sustainable land of many uses, cherished by all for future generations.
Three Pillars
Many people love the Bridger-Teton National Forest for many reasons. But too much of a good thing can strain resources. FBT nurtures that passion through education, collaboration, and action.
Through these three pillars, we act as a forest multiplier, amplifying our impact and enabling us to accomplish work where we wouldn’t otherwise.

1. Educate
Through storytelling and education, we hope to inspire communities and individuals to join us in our mission to protect the Bridger Teton National Forest.
What it looks like: As an educational extension of the BTNF, we create and disseminate messages on responsible recreation to improve engagement with the national forest.

2. Collaborate
We bring the right people and resources together to make things happen. Our close partnership with the BTNF makes it easier for NGOs, community partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to come together.
What it looks like: FBT works with the BTNF to eliminate bottlenecks and improve efficiency. We consider ourselves a convener or facilitator, not an authority.

3. Act
We can collaborate and learn all we want, but it means nothing if we do nothing. We help make projects happen that contribute to visitor enjoyment and protection of the forest environment (for generations to come!).
What it looks like: Our ambassador programs keep visitors, the forest, and wildlife safer.
