One of the country’s premier amateur cycling races, LoToJa, challenges individual and teams of riders to cover 200+ miles between Logan, Utah and Teton Village, Wyoming in a single day. While it happens on pavement, LoToJa’s route travels through a significant portion of the Bridger-Teton National Forest. Not that racers are especially focused on the scenery—the race includes three mountain passes and is a test of mental and physical stamina—but, if they have the energy to look up from the wheel in front of them, they would see the Wyoming Range as the race travels north up Star Valley, the Wild and Scenic Snake River Canyon and its eponymous mountain range between Alpine and South Park, and, in the race’s home stretch, the southern Tetons
This year, FBT is one of LoToJa’s six charitable partners. FBT board member Marshall Durston has spearheaded the creation of two 5-rider FBT teams with the goal of raising $50,000.
