Forest Friends Public Lands Day Celebration

Did You Know Wyoming is one of only three states to pass their own Public Lands Day bill? This September 28th we’ll celebrate our first Wyoming Public Lands Day and National Public Lands Day- the single greatest volunteer effort for our nation’s public lands.

Where: Jackson Hole - Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center, 532 N. Cache Jackson, WY 83001

When: 8am-9am kick-off, volunteer activities to follow

What: Opening Ceremony with free coffee and breakfast, special guest speakers and an information hub on where volunteers are needed on our public lands.

Who: Friends of the Bridger-Teton, Bridger-Teton National Forest, National Elk Refuge, Grand Teton National Park, Grand Teton Association, Snake River Fund, Backcountry Horsemen, Mountain Bike the Tetons, JHWildlife, and more!

What else: Multiple volunteer activities! Join Snake River Fund at the Sheep Gulch Boat Launch to celebrate the new access trail and decommission the old one. Or meet at Bryan Flats to tackle invasive weeds or help work on the Wyoming Range National Recreation Trail with Backcountry Horsemen and Mountain Bike the Tetons. Pull fence with JHWildlife or join Trout Unlimited for a habitat improvement projects.
